Hi Lovelies,
Mecca has come out with their own beauty line known as Mecca Max. It was launched a few weeks ago on the 1st of August. Like any other beauty enthusiast, I was curious to see what they've brought out to the beauty market.
The range consists of products such as foundation, concealer, eyeshadows, lipsticks to make up remover, beauty tools and nail polishes. I've decided to pick up 3 products which includes a lipstick, bronzer and a nail polish.

Since I've spent a total of $58, I got to pick one sample so I've decided to get the Skin Halo Diamond Dust in the colour Rose Gold. I originally wanted the primer but they didn't have any left. During the week of the launch, Mecca had a claw machine filled with the deluxe samples. I didn't take a photo but I managed to get one which was a Shimmer Shot Lip Glitter in Billionaire. Haven't tried it yet as I'm not a big fan or have an occasion where I can use the lip glitter.
Lately I've been into a bronzed sun kissed look (this might be due to the freezing winter we've been having in Melbourne) so I love a nice bronzer and highlighter to create that effect. I've picked up the darkest shade of the Mecca Max Sunlit Skin Bronzing Powder. I like the sleek packaging with the gold lid with a pop of colour of the two letters M. When you open the compact, you get a nice size mirror and the powder has a nice imprint of the Mecca letter's M logo.
Even though it's the darkest shade, I find it to be quite sheer. I have brush the powder over my face a few time to be able to notice a light shimmer. This is also the case with the Skin Halo Diamond Dust highlighter in Rose Gold.

My weakness in beauty products would have to be lip products. Therefore, I HAD to try the Mecca Max lipstick. Before I start talking about the colour and formulation of the lipstick, can I please point out how chic the packaging is? To open it, you have to click the bottom for it to pop out. The functionality reminds me of the Chanel Rouge Allure lipsticks.
I've chosen the colour Reality Check which is a rose pink colour. I would say it's my lip colour but better lipstick with a sheer formulation. Because it's a sheer formula, I find it to be hydrated but wears off easily.

I was drawn to the nail polish colour called On The Rocks. It's a nice neutral lilac colour which in my opinion can go with any outfit. I worn it last week but forgot to take a photo (sorry!). It applies smoothly on the nails and only requires two coats without a top coat to give a nice shiny effect. Like most nail polishes, it only lasted for 3-4 days before the paint started to chip. Other than that, I was impressed with how effortlessly it applied on the nails.

Overall, even though I've only tried four products out of an abundant amount of products Mecca Max came out, I don't know if I would be too keen to try their other products. In general I like the packagings but was not impressed with the formulations. The prices are affordable but I think it could be cheaper.
If you have tried their products, let me know your opinions about them in the comments below.
