Elucent Whitening line

This blog will contain heavy info about the whitening range that I have scanned from the booklet I got given from Ego Pharmaceutical. Again, sorry about the crookedness of these scanned pages >.<

And that is it. Remember, the whitening range doesn’t make you go paler. It helps hydrates your skin, and give it’s a nice glow. Hope you find it helpful.

Lazy Sunday - Weekends re-cap (end of July)

It’s the last weekends of July and so far I had a great time.

On Thursday I had a day off work so my bestie and I went to Ikea. We had one thing that we wanted to get and that was a clear container set. We both watched Jarmaine youtube channel (JLoveMac1) and saw she had it. Even though she was from America, we went onto the ikea website to see if they have it in Australia (and they did. Yay!)

Unfortunately they were sold out and they won’t be back in stock until 2 weeks time L But my trip to Ikea wasn’t a waste. I managed to get coat hangers and an analogue clock. I got the clock mainly for display but I’m going to use it. Love the old alarm bells ring. Oh, and my bestie got a few house essentials as well.

The container set we were hoping to purchase.

Things I ended up getting J

On the same day it was my boyfriend’s birthday so I went to his place and surprised him with his family. I told him the night before that I was really sick so I can’t celebrate with him (he wasn’t too happy hehe).

Saturday was our anniversary, been with the guy for 6 years!!! I had to work so we celebrated it on Friday. We went to a seafood restaurant called The Atlantic which is located in Crown Entertainment Complex. The service was excellent; the waitress who served us was extremely nice and friendly. We had two entrée, a salad and a big main. We were too full to have dessert.

He thinks he’s too sexy for his shirt haha

Oh dear my bra strap fell down lol. Should have put more blush on

2 entrée: Diamond Clam Chowder and Wood Fire Grilled Calamari

Cos Lettuce Salad

Main: The Atlantic Seafood Platter (writing this post make me drools hehe). Eric looking creeping in the background

My ootd:
Dress from asos
Belt from Dotti
Necklace from Equip
Pumps from Tony Bianco
Handbag from an online store. It looks like the blvgari handbag.

If you guys live in Melbourne or are planning to go to Melbourne and would like to check out the restaurant, just go on their website:

How’s your weekends so far?

Elucent Anti-ageing line

Okay… so remember how I said Elucent is a new skincare range from Ego? Well, my friend said they came a while ago and they were stocked at Priceline. So strange I haven’t heard of it. Anyway, here is more information about the Anti-ageing line that I got from the booklet Ego gave to me.

Sorry about the crooked photos *hehe* Right here we go.... [WARNING: Information heavy]

People may feel tingly sensation due to the AHA so it's always best to start of with the lowest percentage then work your way up. It is recommended to use the low % for about a week before increasing it.

Introduction to Elucent skincare ranges

Ego Pharmaceutical is a well known Australian pharmaceutical company. For you lovely Australians, you may know their popular QV skincare range. They have recently developed a new skincare range called Elucent. It has two lines, one is anti-ageing and the other one is whitening.

Anti-ageing line

Whitening line

Each skincare line contains:
  • Day Cream with SPF
  • Night Cream
  • Serum
  • Eye cream
  • Cleanser

Beside that the anti-ageing line also has a body moisturiser whilst the whitening line has hand cream.

I was given 3 small samples from the anti-ageing line from their training. It includes:
  • Gentle cleanser
  • Day moisturiser
  • Night moisturiser

I’m very excited to try them out since they contain AHAs (alpha hydroxy acid) which are well known for rejuvenating skins. For the whitening line, the rep said it will lighten your skin lightly but its main function is to reduce hyperpigmentation and brighten the skin.

They are exclusive to Chemist Warehouse as stated on the catalogue I have seen. I’m not too sure how much each one cost but it stated to be from $19.99.

I also been given booklets with more information on each line which I will scan and do separate posts. More information about them will be coming out during this week so stay tune J

Disclaimer: I’m not affiliated with Ego Pharmaceutical.

Lazy Sunday - Kobo review

It has been raining in Melbourne during this week. In this kind of weather I love sitting next to the heater, drink a cup of tea and read a good book or magazine.

I just want to share with you lovely readers about the Kobo eReader I have purchased about 2 months ago. I’m usually one who likes to read things that are printed on paper. I hate staring at the screen because it hurts my eyes. Also, I love the feeling of satisfaction when I’m at the last few pages of a book. However, most of the books I like to read are thick and heavy so holding the book can be quite tiring.

Therefore, I decided to get an eReader. I didn’t do much research on different brands and versions because I just wanted something basic. My sister actually bought it for me and she chose the Kobo Glo. The price is decent; I think we got it for around $150 (much cheaper than a Kindle). I thought the screen is going to be like the laptop/ tablet screen but it isn’t. It uses E ink technology so it’s just like you’re reading printed words on a piece of paper. Thus, it doesn’t hurt my eyes (awesome!)

It’s easy download ebooks into the Kobo. The battery life last a while as well. On my kobo there’s also Sudoku, chess and a sketch pad too. I’m enjoying it so far. I know some people don’t like to bring a book in public because they are embarrass or uncomfortable of people knowing what they are reading but if you have a eReader, you can read anything without any issue (especially if you like reading erotic books like 50 shades of grey ;) )

I bought a screen protector and a case on eBay. I will put the links down below if you are interested

Kobo case:

If you are planning to get an eReader, I recommend it. Makes life so much easier. You can get any brand or version; they pretty much have the same main function (i.e. to download ebooks to read) and use E ink technology.

Happy weekends xx

Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat – Demo and review

I was at Priceline checking out the new Maybelline lines such as colour whispers and new colour tattoo eye shadows and I came across Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat range. Which is also a recently release with 7 different shades (that I saw).

I got one in the colour name of 700 wool knot (light blue and white “sprinkles” )to test out for you guys J

At the back of the bottle it stated to shake the bottle gentle and apply 2-3 coats. Below are photo demonstrations of how I applied it on. I don’t like how the fuzzy coat looks on the entire hands so I only applied it on one nail and the rest with a plain nail colour.

DEMO:

1. Apply base coat

2.  Paint all nails with the colour of your choice (2 coats) but leave one finger you wish to apply the Fuzzy Coat. I used Essie nail polish in Borrowed & Blue

3. Paint the 1st coat of the Fuzzy Coat on the un-painted finger and wait to dry

4. Paint the 2nd coat of the Fuzzy Coat.

5. If you are unsatisfied with the result (like myself) then apply the 3rd coat of Fuzzy Coat

6. Apply top coat on the entire nails. It’s optional to apply top coat on the Fuzzy Coat.

The final result:

Please excuse my horrible painting job. Didn’t have the patience on this particular day >.<

VERDICT:

4/5. It’s very easy to apply and with a top coat over it, it lasted me a few days before it chipped. They don’t have a nice colour ranges to choose from in my option. My friend tried the light pink and white one and she said it looks like tape worms on her fingers lol. Removing this polish is a bit difficult and annoying. However, it’s a fun concept I suppose.

Which colour do you like best? Have you tried them before?
