Nivea in shower Rich body lotion skin conditioner (very dry skin) review

I’ve been given a few of the Nivea in-shower skin conditioner sachets to try and I really enjoyed it. Hence, I went out and bought the full size. There are two types, the very dry skin (which I bought) and I think the other one is normal to dry skin (it’s a white container).

The lotion smells quite nice and from the ingredient list you can see that half of the ingredients are used to make the lotion smells delightful. The other halves of the ingredients are emollient and skin conditioner.  Both of these agents are used to help soften and smooth the skin. No wonder my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth.

This lotion also contains ingredients which act as a masking agent. I assume that the emollients and skin conditioners have strong odours hence; they need to mask the smells.

The conditioner lathers on the skin nicely and you feel the soft texture immediately. The lotion has quite a high viscosity (quite thick) which is unusual for a lotion.  It may feel a bit slimey but once you rinse it off, the sensation diminished. The rep actually explained how the lotion works but I still don’t fully understand. Not sure how the some ingredients are rinsed off while others penetrate the membrane of skin to conditioned. If anyone knows, educate me.

VERDICT:

4/5. The skin conditioner is amazing. My skin feels like a baby’s bottom hehe. My legs tend to be extremely dry but now it’s incredibly smooth. The only down side is the shape of the container. It has a large surface area so hard for people to have tiny hands like me to grab. And because you use it in the shower, the container will get wet, making it more difficult to hold.

Just a reminder that there is only 1 more week left before my 1st giveaway ends so keep entering for more chance to win lovelies.
