Unboxing - Glossier

Finally I got a chance to try out the raved brand Glossier. I decided to pick out a few products to try out.

As most of you may know, the founder/CEO is Emily Weiss. When I saw a photo of her on the internet I thought to myself: "She looks so familiar, where have I seen her from?" Turn out she was the "super" intern at Teen Vogue who worked with Lauren Conrad (hand up if you watched reality tv show called The Hill, lol).

Anyway, if you're interested to see what I've picked up please keep on reading.

A cute welcome postcard

How cute are the faces inside the envelope?

The products were placed in a cute pink bubble wrapped ziplock bag
The package comes with a sheet of cute stickers plus a sample of their moisturiser

Left to right: Milky Jelly Cleanser, Cloud paint in Dusk, Boy Brow in Brown and balm dotcom in coconut flavour
I love the packaging of everything. It's comes in an ordinary box cardboard box but don't be fool! As soon as you opened the box, the inside is a pretty light pink colour. The lid has a statement "You look good" and the bottom of the box has a cute smiley face and a waving hand.

All the products were sealed up in a pink bubble wrapped ziplock bag. A sheet of cute stickers is included if you want to add a touch of cuteness to your products.

The Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser is the main product I was most interested in trying. It has a unique texture mixed between a gel and lotion. This cleanser has a nice scent and does a good job in cleansing my face without drying my skin afterwards (some cleanser I've tried had strip all the oil of my skin, leaving it to be super dry).

My lips have been extra dry and chapped during the cold Melbourne weather and I've heard good things about the balm dotcom so why try it? It comes in a few different flavours but I was most drawn to the coconut one.

To be completely honest, I find the formulation of this balm to be extra thick which makes it hard to squeeze the product out of the tube. Even though it does a good job in keeping my lips hydrated, I find the Lucas Paw Paw ointment (Australian product) to work just as well or even better and it only cost 1/3 of the price.

I had to try the Boy Brow since I heard so much about it. I wasn't sure which shade to get between the black and brown. I decided to go for the brown as I thought black might be too intense for my liking (glad I picked the right colour for me!).

I find it to work great on my brows. I used it in combination with a brow crayon but I find using on it own works just as well.

Last but not least I've picked up Cloud Paint, a cream blush in Dusk. It's a nice subtle colour which brighten my face like a natural blush. Without blush I just look like a sick person deprived of irons lol.

I like the packaging as it looks like a tube of paint but I find it difficult to control the portion of the product coming out. Even a gentle squeeze can result in a large amount of product to spill out.

There are so many other Glossier products I want to try such as the serums but I have so many skincare and make up I need to use up first. I'm sure I will make other Glossier order in the near future.

If you have tried any of their products, please leave a comment below to let me know which are your favourite products.

Mecca Max - New beauty brand

Hi Lovelies,

Mecca has come out with their own beauty line known as Mecca Max. It was launched a few weeks ago on the 1st of August. Like any other beauty enthusiast, I was curious to see what they've brought out to the beauty market.

The range consists of products such as foundation, concealer, eyeshadows, lipsticks to make up remover, beauty tools and nail polishes. I've decided to pick up 3 products which includes a lipstick, bronzer and a nail polish.
