I finally remembered to keep all the finished products so that I can do an emptied products blog for you guys. I always enjoyed reading and watching bloggers and youtubbers emptied products blog/video and their thought on each item. Hope you guys will enjoy reading mine :)

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette pictures and swatches
The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette is finally out in Australia. You can get it at Mecca Maxima stores at the price of $95 AUD. I'm not sure if you still can get it because it's pretty much sold out everywhere even for that ridiculous price. I heard numerous raving reviews about the individual powders. It's an extremely popular product in the blogosphere world. I wasn't planning to buy it because it's expensive but I was in Mecca on Friday and I just asked where the palette is located and the staff lady told me they only had one left and it was behind the counter. Since it was the last one I immediately jumped the gun and got it (>.<). My boyfriend actually ended up purchasing it for me. He said it's can be my early Christmas present :D

Lazy Sunday - OOTD
It has been cold and drizzling in Melbourne even though it's Spring. The weather is finally improving today but it won't last for long. I checked the weather bureau and it's going to be cold from Wednesday onward (boo!).
I have quite a busy schedule every Sunday. There's church, grocery shopping, taking my sister to two different tutoring places to name a few. Today my family and I went to church early in the morning and my sister stayed home to study for her exams so I had a little bit of time to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
While I was enjoying the sunshine I thought I would to share with you my outfit of the day (OOTD):

Rimmel Colour Rush balms - Review
I've read a few UK bloggers' reviews on these beauties and I got hooked. For those who don't already know, I LOVE lip products. Rimmel has finally decided to jump onto the bandwagon to create these balm products. Revlon makes incredible ones and they are by far one of my favourite pigmented lip balms.

Swisse Nourish anti-ageing eye cream Review
I was interested in the Swisse new natural skincare range
when I went to their information session about 6 months ago. All their natural
products are free from parabens, SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), SLES (Sodium
Lauryl Ether Sulfate), Petrolatum and Synthetic Fragrance. My friend really
like their eye cream and told me to try it so I bought it. I also bought their cleanser which I will do a separate review. I’ve been using this
eye cream for about 2 months and a bit so I think it’s a sufficient time to review
it.

Lazy Sunday - BOE lipsticks review
Big W (Aussie small department store. Kinda like a mini Walmart in the State) stocks their own little make up line called BOE. They have a few basic items such as lipsticks, eye liners, blushes, face powders and nail polishes. The best part is all products are $2 AUD each! I think it's great for beginners to doesn't know where to start. You can probably get all the products for the entire look for around $14. I finally found a Big W that stock the BOE lipsticks so I decided to grab a few and test them out. I wasn't interested in the other products, I'm a lip products junkie :D

My current everyday neutral look
Hello my beautiful readers! I'm going to be doing my very first make-up tutorial. Why has it taken me this long to do one? I never intended to do make-up tutorials on my blog because I feel that I'm just a beginner and there are areas I still suck at (e.g. doing different eyes looks). However, since it's a beauty blog I might as well provide a few make-up tutorials (not going to guarantee they will amazing).

Monday Blue - Ways to stay positive and motivated
L-R: Treasure yourself by Miranda Kerr, Words of Wisdom, Don't sweat the small stuff (For Women) by Kristine Carlson and Daily Joy.
November is here and that means it's nearly the end of the year. It just makes me feel a little depressed. Nearly a year has gone by after I finished my exams and I feel like I'm not getting anywhere in life. Even though I only graduated a few months ago, it still upsetting to feel stuck.
I see all my high school classmates are either engaged, already married or are already parents. A few have their own house and a good stable job. I know you shouldn't compare but it's just hard sometimes. I was hoping to get a job in my field by now. I've been getting rejection mails from the jobs I've applied and it can feel like a huge kick in the gut. I not going to give up but being rejected so many times have slowed down my process of looking.
Anyway, I'm not only writing this post just to rant but I want to share with you lovely readers ways I try to be positive and motivated in life. Maybe these tips can help you too when you're feeling down.

Lazy Sunday - NYX Haul
On Tuesday I saw someone posted on Facebook that they saw
people setting up the NYX stand at Target near my area during the day. Being my
crazy self I was eager to go check it out. Just before 9 PM I called the store
up to asked if the stand was finished and accessible and the staff said yes. I
quickly got changed and dash to Target. I'm quite fortunate that the Target near
my area closes at 10 PM during weekdays.
As I entered the store, one of the staff gave me a $10 off voucher (if you spend $50 or more) which is a bonus. I'm not sure if they still have that offer but asked the staff to make sure if you do go. As I got to the NYX stand, it was fully stocked. No one was there so I had an awesome time swatching different products with no hassle.

Mrs Carter show - Melbourne
If you follow me on instagram (@kwinniezb) or facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Quinntologist1) you would know that I've went to Beyonce Concert last night (26.10.13), the last show in Melbourne.
Both of my bff and I misssed out on getting tickets to her other shows so when we were able to get tickets for her last show in Melbourne we were ecstatic. We got the 'gold' seats which was still pretty far but we didn't care, as long as we got to see her.
The show was phenomenal. All of us had an incredible time. I snapped a few pics from my phone camera to share with you all. Sorry for the poor quality.

Revlon Lash Potion mascara review
This mascara has finally arrived
in Australia. I heard a few good things about it and it’s one of Tati’s top 5(GlamLifeGuru)
favourites so I was really interested in trying it. Also, I needed a new
waterproof mascara. I got mine at Chemist Warehouse for $15 on sale. This
mascara promised to not only lengthen the lashes but also give them volume.

Free Napoleon Perdis gifts from Instyle magazine
During one of my lunch break, I
decided to buy a magazine to read but didn’t know which one to pick. I saw that
Instyle magazine has freebies from Napoleon Perdis. I never used that make up
brand before beside the cheaper line they sells at Big W and Target so I took
the magazine.

what they say, better late than never. Before I continue with this post, I just
wanted to say that it will be a long and informative one fill with pictures. If
you can’t be bothered reading then a simple solution would be to close this

September Favourites 2013
This month I had a blast even though towards the end I felt
a bit down about life in general. It’s all good now; I just brushed it off and
move on. That’s one of the reason haven’t been blogging for a week. Other
reason was I didn’t have the internet as well.

Lazy Sunday - IMATS haul
Hello my beautiful readers. I hope you guys had a fantastic
weekend. I know it’s Monday here in the Southern atmosphere but it’s still
Sunday in most countries (Lazy Sunday post still counts right?).
I was going to write a post last night when I came back from
Sydney but I felt really dizzy. I’m still feeling nauseous. Hopefully I will
re-cover soon.

What's in my travel make up bag
Oh my goodness I'm so excited for this weekends. I've been working full time for a while now and it's so nice to take a week off to relax.
This post is going to be a brief one (only have 2 more hours until I leave to the airport). By the time it is published I will already be in Sydney.
I took pictures last night but added a few things this morning so there will be some missing products in the photos.
I got this bag for free from work. It's from a Natio gift pack.

What’s in my travel toiletries bag
If you read my blog, you would
know that I will be heading to Sydney this Thursday night and I will be
attending IMATS. I’m so excited since it’s my first time going to IMATS. Plus
I’m travelling with my best friend and also meeting up with my close friend who
lives in Sydney.
I thought it would be fun to do a
“what’s in my travel toiletries bag”. I got this clear bag from the David Jones
luxury deluxe sample totes that my bf bought for me. I will also be bringing
some of the samples along. Thought it’s a great way to try the samples and they
falls under the 100 mL/ g airplane requirement.

Lazy Sunday - Lush Haul
On the 10th of
September (past Tuesday) I was privilege enough to attend Melbourne’s first
Lush Bloggers Event. I actually got invited through one of my awesome friend
who’s also a blogger (Thanks Chermaine). Check her blog out because it’s
incredible and very informative: http://chermaineho.blogspot.com.au/
I will do a full post on the
event and all the information I’ve learned on the day soon. I want to do a bit
more research about the company and re-collect my notes I’ve consumed that
night to write an informative post for you lovelies readers. I’ve been so busy
with work and planning for my Sydney trip that I haven’t got a chance to do so.
Once the madness die down, I’ll promise it’s the first post I will publish.

Nivea in shower Rich body lotion skin conditioner (very dry skin) review
I’ve been given a few of the
Nivea in-shower skin conditioner sachets to try and I really enjoyed it. Hence,
I went out and bought the full size. There are two types, the very dry skin
(which I bought) and I think the other one is normal to dry skin (it’s a white
container).

and what they each looks like on my lips.

$10.98 AUD. The price is still more expensive than the States. However, it’s
better than paying $20 something dollars.

Crème Carmel Flan Recipe
Hello lovelies,
This post is going to be a non-beauty
related one. I thought it may be good
for a change. A few weeks ago my cousin made some Flan and it was delicious! I
tried to make it last week and it was a disaster. The Flan was rough and got
tidy holes (as seen below).
I think I left it in the oven for
too long and also, I was mixing methods between recipes. This time my mum gave
me a recipe she found in one of her Vietnamese cooking book. As a result it’s
much better than my first time and the texture is incredible. So smooth and
creamy.
I just need to state that I’m no
cook. I hardly cook and don’t really enjoy cooking because I have no patience.
However, since I’m getting old and one day I need to live on my own, I decided
I should start learning some simple dishes.

Lazy Sunday - Another mini haul
Before you guys go “what? Another
haul? Thought you were trying to save money?!” Let me clarify that I didn’t spend
any money; my awesome bf bought them for me.
I was watching Jodi from Goo Roo Beauty on youtube and she
showed what she got at David Jones/ DJ (again for youse non Aussie, DJ is one
of the biggest department store in Australia). I wanted to rush out to David
Jones straightaway to buy the same things as her. She bought the Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap and I haven’t
heard much about it. She also bought a beauty deluxe sampler tote which
contains numerous samples.

Bourjois Color Boost Glossy Finish Lipstick review
I bought these “lipstick” about 2
weeks ago online before I knew they were already out in Australia. The reason
why I put the quotation sign on lipstick is because I don’t think it’s a
lipstick but more of a glossy lip balm. I got all four available shades;

Lazy Sunday - Huge collective hauls
I have such a bad habit…..I keep
on buying and buying and not save a penny. It may not be good for the pocket
but hey it’s good to try new things right? Yes? Maybe? No? With all
seriousness, I need to restrict myself from buying things I don’t really need.
Anyway I have been shopping for
the past 2 months and I would like to share with you guys. I love reading and
watching haul videos and I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Before I start, I just
wanted to state that I bought all these products with my hard working money. For
those who don’t like reading or watching hauls, you can just simply close the

Lazy Sunday - What’s new
The Revlon nearly naked pressed
powders and foundations have finally arrived to Australia. They have been displayed in
various places for a few weeks now. Such places include, Priceline, Chemist
Warehouse, Kmart and Target.
Pictures are taken from the Revlon official website
There are 12 shades for the
foundation and I’m not too sure how many shades for the pressed powder. I think
there are around 5? Both are the same price. Priceline are selling them for
around $26 each, $23 at Chemist Warehouse, $26 at Kmart and I’m not too sure about Target.
I took a sample home and the shade 160
Fresh Beige suits my skin tone nicely. I heard that for the next Chemist
Warehouse sale, they will be selling both products for $20 each. Also, Revlon launched
4 lustrous ‘liptember’ lipsticks. The colours are: Pink, Red, Coral and Berry.
They will be on sale for $10 and the money goes to the Women Mental Health
foundation.
Another special for the next
Chemist Warehouse sale is that if you spend $30 or more you will get a gift set
of two mini kissable lipbalm; Charm and Lovesick. I am planning to get the
nearly naked foundation and one of the liptember lipsticks, $30 exact thus I
will receive the gift set J Thought I would share with my
fellow Australians the good deals coming up.
AND… I will be doing a giveaway soon so follow
me on bloglovin’ if you haven’t
already done so if you don’t want to missed out. It will be opened
internationally :D
Beside that I will be changing
the layout/template of my blog. I just need to find the design I like which
going to be a while. I have an instagram account so if you guys would like to
follow me, it’s kwinniezb.
Hope everyone is having a
fantastic weekend xx

Avene Gentle purifying scrub review
I saw the Avene Gentle purify
scrub at Chemist Warehouse and was immediately drawn to it. Not only because it’s
pink but it also stated “for sensitive skin”. Hence, I instantly want to test
it. I asked for a sample to take home.
I’m very picky with scrubs
because my skin is sensitive and is easily irritated. You know the St Ives
apricot scrub that everyone loves? I can’t even use it often because it’s too
rough on my skin. I feel like I’m using sandpaper.
I got about 3-4 uses out of the
sample.
Ingredient

Function/s
|
Avene Thermal Spring Water (69%)

Soothes and softens

Exfoliating microspheres

Salicylic acid (Sodium salicylate, BHA)

I got the information from their
website. For more information you can go on the link below:
VERDICT:
4.5/5. It’s extremely gentle on
my skin like the name suggested and it’s has a nice light scent (which I don’t
mind). I’m not sure how much it cost because the store didn’t have the price or
any stock (just the tester haha). But when they do, I will definitely but it.

Elucent Whitening line
This blog will contain heavy info about the whitening range
that I have scanned from the booklet I got given from Ego Pharmaceutical.
Again, sorry about the crookedness of these scanned pages >.<
And that is it. Remember, the whitening range doesn’t make
you go paler. It helps hydrates your skin, and give it’s a nice glow. Hope you find
it helpful.
