Lazy Sunday - Kobo review

It has been raining in Melbourne during this week. In this kind of weather I love sitting next to the heater, drink a cup of tea and read a good book or magazine.

I just want to share with you lovely readers about the Kobo eReader I have purchased about 2 months ago. I’m usually one who likes to read things that are printed on paper. I hate staring at the screen because it hurts my eyes. Also, I love the feeling of satisfaction when I’m at the last few pages of a book. However, most of the books I like to read are thick and heavy so holding the book can be quite tiring.

Therefore, I decided to get an eReader. I didn’t do much research on different brands and versions because I just wanted something basic. My sister actually bought it for me and she chose the Kobo Glo. The price is decent; I think we got it for around $150 (much cheaper than a Kindle). I thought the screen is going to be like the laptop/ tablet screen but it isn’t. It uses E ink technology so it’s just like you’re reading printed words on a piece of paper. Thus, it doesn’t hurt my eyes (awesome!)

It’s easy download ebooks into the Kobo. The battery life last a while as well. On my kobo there’s also Sudoku, chess and a sketch pad too. I’m enjoying it so far. I know some people don’t like to bring a book in public because they are embarrass or uncomfortable of people knowing what they are reading but if you have a eReader, you can read anything without any issue (especially if you like reading erotic books like 50 shades of grey ;) )

I bought a screen protector and a case on eBay. I will put the links down below if you are interested

If you are planning to get an eReader, I recommend it. Makes life so much easier. You can get any brand or version; they pretty much have the same main function (i.e. to download ebooks to read) and use E ink technology.

Happy weekends xx
